News in brief

The 3rd International Scenographers’ Festival IN3 Basel will open its doors on Thursday December 2nd, 2010 at the Kaserne Basel.

The festival will host - among many others - the following speakers: The stage designer Anna Viebrock; the architect Jacques Herzog; the president of the  ‚Stiftung Preussischer Kulturbesitz, Prof. Dr.Dr. h.c. Hermann Parzinger; Alexander Schwarz, executive director of David Chipperfield Architects Berlin; one of the founders of atelier oï, Patrick Reymond; Rose Epple from the Berlin based ‚Büro für Szenografie’ chezweitz&roseapple; the director of the Swiss National Museum Andreas Spillman; the artist Brad Downey as well as the conceptual artists Frank and Patrik Riklin from the ‚Atelier für Sonderaufgaben’.

Also, we are happy to announce our surprise guest; Robert Greenwood from Snøhetta, an international architecture, landscape architecture, and interior design office based in Oslo.

From 6 to 11 pm the Lumentektur Projection by Urbanscreen, Bremen, that was developed in collaboration students on the occasion of an IN3 Workshop in Basel, will be screende at the mainbuilding’s facade of the Kaserne.
