In the preparatory phase of the festival 2010, students from various disciplines, especially students from partner academies of the Institute of Interior Design and Scenography | HGK | FHNW were invited to apply for one-week intensive workshops in the fields of scenography and spatial theme realisation. Beside the experiences regarding topics and media, the workshops were intended to offer the opportunity to create networks amongst the external as well as the Basel students.

On the occasion of the 3rd International Scenographers' Festival IN3 2010 two workshops were advertised internationally and held at the Institute of Interior Design and Scenography | HGK | FHNW between November 1st and 5th 2010.

Workshop "LUMENTEKTUR — VIDEOMAPPING IN THE PUBLIC SPHERE"
The Bremen-based creative company URBANSCREEN possesses years of experience in the field of urban large-scale projections and took over the direction of this workshop.
In cooperation with the participants, a custom-fit video projection on a building façade on the festival premises (area of the Basel “Kaserne”) was developed explicitly for the event. A special focus was to explore, which scenographic and dramaturgic communication options can be realized through Lumentektur — i.e. the precisely custom-fit projection onto architecture.
During the festival, the projection was presented every evening in the exterior public space.
